The
Worthing Business Circle
April
14 2010 saw A2B Worthing become a memeber of the Worthing
Business Circle. At the time of Joining the Circle comprises
of up to 40 local businesses, but the key thing is that only
one business per catagory may join.
Jon Roberts said "To join the circle is a great move
for the company. There are many knowledgable businessmen and
women invovled with many contacts between them." He went
on to say, "I hope that A2B can offer an incite to the
way that the taxi and private hire business works, so that
other members can pass on this information to the colleagues
and clients."
Since
joining the circle, many of the other members have begun and
in some cases continued to use our services for local trips
and also airport transfers. SimonLovering from Eagle Roofing
and also the Chairman of the Worthing Business Circle was
quoted on their blog saying "I have used A2B twice already
since they joined, and the second time they knew who I was
and where I was going before I asked them, now that’s
impressive service!".

New
Website and Advertising Campaign Launched
Following the success at the Splash Awards in March, April
saw A2B launch a whole new advertising campaign to highlight
the success the company had achieved. This would include a
new website, business cards and adverts in local magazines
including Essentially Worthing, as well as the Worthing Herald
and of course Splash FM.
A2B will be looking to build new working relationships in
the Worthing Business community. The new Business cards arrived
just at the end of March 2010 and have been changed to show
our business award winning achievement as well as telling
customers about our Facebook and twitter sites.
A2B have always invested in the technology which has always
kept us ahead of any competitors. We are now looking at attracting
an even younger market than we already have. The night life
in Worthing has risen over the past couple of years and with
our "callback" we can offer customers a missed call
on thier mobile when they are out in the town centre, allowing
them to stay inside until their car arrives.
We hop to be able to offer customers the chance to book by
facebook and twitter in the future

Business
of the Year 2010
Thursday 18th March 2010 will go down
in history as the day A2B Worthing Private Hire won their
first ever Business award. It was a great night that saw 15
seperate awards in total, ranging from Best Friend, Gold Awards
and Sports Team of the Year, which incidentally was won by
Worthing Football Club, who we sponsor.
Managing Director, Lyn Roberts said "This is a great
achievement for us and I am especially proud as I will be
celebrating my 25th year in the Industry in July." Lyn
was joined at the awards by her eldest son Jon Roberts, who
is also the company secretary, and his wife. Her youngest
son Mark and 7 drivers who were all in shock when the company
was announced as the winners.
After the awards Jon Roberts said "What a night, we have
worked really hard through the last 18 months to make sure
we kept going when other businesses were failing, and moved
offices during this time too. We have to thank all the customers
who voted for us and we will keep making efforts to improve
our business. I was also really happy that Worthing Football
club won, as their main sponsor it is always good to be associated
with a winning team and hopefully that will work both ways!"

A
Bright Future as A2B Move Offices
June
2009 saw a big step for A2B Worthing as they moved their office
away from their seasfront location to a local business park.
Company director Jon Roberts said "we have been looking
for the right office to help us grow over the next few years."
The new office is located in King Edward close and Mr Roberts
went on to say, "the new premises is exactly what we
want it has 4 seperate offices as well as a reception area
and a driver and staff room, in which they can have a break
in, we want to stress that even though we are on a business
park we understand local residents may not like the idea of
drivers and customers coming in and out at all times."
"We have strick guide lines from the council and we keep
to them. The office is only open to the public between 8am
and 5pm Monday to Saturday. Even though we will obviously
maintain the 24 hour a day service from the phones, which
is what built us our reputation."
Parking was a another reason to move due to Worthing's very
strick parking restrictions around the Brighton Road Office.
The new office sees 3 parking spaces outside the front door
and another 5 in the attached car park. This move is the second
since 2002 and will be the last as we are looking to make
a very settled life at King Edward Close.

A2B
Worthing Enter 2nd year as Worthing FC Main Sponsor
July
2009 saw A2B start the second year of a 3 year deal as sponsors
of Worthing FC. The first year was a very good year, as Worthing
FC made the Ryman League Division 1 Sout but narrowly lost
out in the semi finals to Cray Wanderers, who eventually went
on to win the play-offs and get promotion to the Ryman Premier
League.
The first year saw A2B Director Jon Roberts become heavily
involved in the club. He started to run the Club's shop for
them on a volunteer basis and has this season been asked to
become one of the club's coached for the Youth Team (U18s).
A2B can regularly be seen on the back of the Worthing Herald
either on Match Photoss or by name as the Stadium is called
the "A2B Worthing Stadium".
All at A2B Wish Worthing Football Club the best for the 2009/10
season.
